The NHT M-00 is a very powerful and compact 75 watt self-powered monitor for use in professional, home, and project recording studios. The M-00 has also found a home on many desktops in conjunction with computers in PC hi-fi systems.

The M-00 is self amplified and as such, can be used with any device that has line level or headphone outputs such as LCD and plasma flat panel tv's, cable boxes, Apple iPods, Apple Airport Express, computer sound cards, portable disc players, mobile phones, and streaming clients like Sonos and Sling Box devices.

The M-00 is a natural for high-quality and high SPL distributed audio systems in bars, nightclubs, health clubs, spinning rooms, and other public venues several M-00's can be daisy-chained using the XLR and TRS - simple input the signal into on of these connectors and come out of the other to the next M-00. With a reputable professional balanced signal source as many as 10 M-00 can be daisy-chained on a single channel.

The M-00 has no volume control so volume needs to be controlled by the source. NHT makes an optional PVC PC or PVC Pro passive volume controls. These devices allow you to open the source units volume control fully for the best sonic specifications and then attenuate the signal as needed for comfortable listening.

NHT also offer the S-20 subwoofer which can transform M-00 into a full-range system.

Features:

The M-00 has internal EQ that extends the bass down to 80Hz and can play very loud - 111dB!

The NHT M-00 can be wall or ceiling mounted using the Omnimount 20.0 mount available in our Accessory Department

Inputs on XLR, TRS (XLR and TRS are internally parallel wired) and RCA phono jacks - no it does not have a RIAA phono EQ built in.

The paper cone 4.5" woofer features a two-layer voice coil allowing sustained high temperature operation.

The NHT Pro M-00 is an acoustic suspension design for low distortion, improved midrange clarity.

The 1" fabric dome tweeter employs a sophisticated "under-hung" motor design utilizing a large magnet structure, thicker top plates, and shorter voice coils, all of which keep the voice coil within the boundaries of the magnetic field. Benefits include improved transients and lower distortion.

The M-00's enclosure is a cast aluminum-zinc alloy. Structurally rigid, minimizing resonance and coloration, the aluminum enclosure also acts as a massive heat sink for the internal 75W (150W peak) Class AB amplifier.

The preamplifier section is designed for low noise, high overload tolerance, and minimizes the possibility of noise from ground loops. The transformer is magnetically shielded as well to allow use in direct proximity to computer monitors.

Don't Let This Little Guy Fool You.

I have to say, They are small but powerful, but in a clear and effortless way. The sound is so top notch I forgot they were even there, and isn't that the whole idea?

M-oo! Defiantly not a cow....

I do some voice over work and use the M-OO for playback from my computer. I have owned them for three years. The Near Field setting is great for tweaking in my voice for commercials. In the Far Field setting I use them for tunes in the studio. They are accurate, loud... when you want them to be and small enough that they take little room on my desk. Add the sub for a real awesome sound experience or the PC volume control for controlling loudness without having to fool with the volume on the computer.... If you enjoy quality sound from your computer or your lap topâ¦or you do some home recording... these will blow you mind!

My Favorite Powered Speaker

I would've never guessed you could get such amazing sound and sound level out of such a little speaker, it truely is amazing! If you haven't heard them, you owe it to yourself to listen before you consider anything else, because after you do, you won't consider anything else!
