3-way designs are important to home theater center speakers because the dispersion is very wide in both the horizontal and vertical planes. This means consistent tonality and good detail virtually anywhere the viewer is seated. The Three C is a dual 6.5” woofer configuration with a proprietary .75” aluminum dome tweeter and 2” aluminum dome mid-range. The Tweeter/Midrange are built into a single unit that used in the Classic Models Three and Four. The use of multiple drivers has another positive attribute as it reduces distortion caused by power compression. Low profile is a key feature and we keep the Three C as short as possible. Internally braced to avoid cabinet resonances, the Three C is finished in 7 layers of high-gloss, black paint, hand rubbed between coats.

honest opinion

I own the three C and a pair of the Three's. They are amazing speakers! When I sit and listen to music, normal volume levels, and even with the sub off, you can just feel it. You can feel slight vibrations in the sofa and floor just because they move so much air and sound so clear. Its amazing, its like being there. The Three C especially, even to a layman, watch something with a lot of dialogue like sport center or something. Dialog is noticably more inteligible. Crystal crystal clear sound. And you know when you start to crank the volume and things start to get shrill and you wince a little as you back off the volume knob? From low volume to high these speakers are juicy throughout. NHT is a great company to deal with as well. I highly recommend these products.
