The X-1 is an active, electronic crossover designed specifically for the necessary eq required by NHT’s Classic U2 subwoofer system and our iWS in-wall subwoofer system. It mates with the NHT A-1, but can be used with any stereo or monaural amplifier. The X-1 is stereo/mono switchable and has a feature setdesigned to shape bass frequencies for optimizing room response. The X1 is rack mountable using the optional E1 rack ears. Control is the key word for the X-1. It manages both front L & R line inputs (2 channel electronic crossover) and LFE signals with independent control for mixing. It has 3 settings for high passing to satellites, and fully adjustable low pass and phase controls. In addition you can adjust boundary eq from +6 to -6dB. The X-1 is one of the most affordable, flexible, fully featured active crossovers available on Earth.

What a difference!

I use this for every IWS install... the ability to "shape" the bass to the room is a huge benefit and this little box works great. If you have any sub that has a seperate amp... this little guy is a must!
