Absolute Zero Bookshelf Speaker (Black)

The Classic Absolute Zero is NHT's fourth generation of mini-monitors. In this latest version, we managed to extend bass and improve horizontal dispersion while maintaining the open and natural midrange for which all Zero models are known. The Absolute Zero is a great choice for stereo, distributed audio and home theater systems. The Classic Absolute Zero is available in beautiful black or white gloss hand-rubbed painted finishes and are sold as singles.

The Classic Absolute Zero is an acoustic suspension design (not ported or vented). The Classic Absolute Zero uses a long-throw 5.25” polypropylene cone midrange/woofer. The woofer frame was designed entirely in-house using F.E.A. (Finite Element Analysis) and is made using a proprietary BMC (bulk moulding compound) frame that has high strength and low resonance like a cast magnesium alloy part but has the cost of less expensive plastic frames.

The Zero uses a very sophisticated 1” aluminum dome tweeter in a tiny frame that features a very small, yet powerful neodymium magnet. This allows us to position the tweeter and midrange drivers as close together as possible got very even on and off axis response.

Lastly we dress the Absolute Zero’s parts in a beautiful, curvaceous little cabinet made of very dense MDF (medium density fiberboard) material. It is extensively braced and cut to amazing precision by NHT's manufacturing partners in CNC lathes. It gets 7 layers of high gloss black or white paint, hand polished between each coat.

What all this means is a lot of engineering and thought went into the Absolute Zero to insure it's best of class performance includes tighter, deeper bass and wonderfully open mids and crystal clear highs from a broad seating area.

The Absolute Zero is a great choice for either stereo or movies.

The Absolute Zero is an acoustic suspension design and is magnetically shielded. The driver compliment is a 5.25” midrange/woofer plus a 1” aluminum dome tweeter. NHT uses a very small, yet powerful magnet on its Classic Series tweeters to have the two drivers as close together as possible. What all this means is tighter, deeper bass and crystal clear mids and highs from a broad seating area.

Lastly we dress the Absolute Zero’s parts in a beautiful, curvaceous little cabinet made of very dense wood material. It then gets 7 layers of high gloss white paint, hand polished between each coat. Sold individually.

Three Bookshelf Loudspeaker

The Absolute Sound(tm) called the Classic Three “possibly the best bookshelf speaker under $1000”. Pretty high praise. We know it’s the best bookshelf we’ve ever built and we've built quite a few over the last 22 years. The Three offers great bass response, close to 40Hz in room, plus wide-open, natural sounding mids and highs. While it’s a really good speaker for home theater, the Three is simply remarkable for music playback.

The Classic Three is a 3-way design using a 6.5”, very long throw woofer and NHT’s proprietary aluminum Tweeter/Midrange module. This array keeps the drivers in close proximity to each other improving phase coherence.Using 3 drivers also reduces distortion and allows the woofer to concentrate on bass reproduction.

The Three is made with both ¾” and 1” dense fiberboard, internally braced for rigidity and avoiding unwanted resonances. The curved top and bottom and hand-rubbed, high gloss piano-black finish lend a sense of timelessness to its visual aspect. Sold Individually.

Absolute Center Channel Speaker

If you like the sound of the Absolute Zero, then its matching center channel speaker is the obvious choice if you are building a surround system. Like its companion bookshelf, we made the Absolute Zero as small as we possibly could while matching the timber, dynamics and dispersion precisely.

We use two 4.5 woofers, plus the same 1” aluminum dome tweeter assembly we use in the Absolute Zero, magnetically shielded of course. The dual woofer design provides good horizontal dispersion and excellent articulation.

The cabinet is made like all others in the Classic line; a dense ¾” wood substrate, painted with 7 coats of high gloss, black paint.

TwoC Center Channel Speaker

3-way designs are important to home theater center speakers because the dispersion is very wide in both the horizontal and vertical planes. This means consistent tonality and good detail virtually anywhere the viewer is seated.

The TwoC is a dual 5.25” woofer configuration with a proprietary .75” aluminum dome tweeter and 2” aluminum dome mid-range. The tweeter/Midrange are built into a single unit that used in the Classic Models Three and Four. Ten 150W Subwoofer

The Classic Ten is one of NHT’s most musical subwoofers. It reproduces the nuances and tonality of acoustic bass lines with subtlety yet delivers the thunder needed for film soundtrack impact. It has solid bass down to 31Hz and plays loud enough to fill a large room.

The Ten features an aluminum, long-throw 10” woofer driven by a 150W, class G amplifier. The amp has a full compliment of inputs including line level, speaker level and LFE inputs. The Ten has an LFE pass thru for daisy-chaining multiple subs if desired. It also offers adjustable low pass, phase and boundary compensation controls to help tune it to specific placements and rooms.

Twelve 200W Subwoofer

The Classic Twelve subwoofer is designed for large rooms. Despite its high output capability perfect for home theater, the Twelve remains clean and musical no matter what the source is. It has a practical feature set that makes connection to your system a simple task. The Twelve also has controls that adjust phase and equalization for almost any room placement assuring proper response.

This subwoofer uses a 12” aluminum cone woofer and a massive motor structure that keeps the driver cool and distortion-free even during the most demanding soundtracks. Driven by a 250 Watt, Class G amplifier, the Twelve has line and speaker level inputs, plus LFE in and through.

Classic U2 Subwoofer System

The NHT Classic U2 subwoofer system is our flagship powered subwoofer system. It offers very high-output, very low distortion bass. The NHT Classic U2 subwoofer system is fully modular and features separate amplifier and crossover components combined with dual high-performance woofer enclosures insure the highest performance ever offered by NHT. The Classic U2 subwoofer system has two, subwoofer enclosures each containing a 12", aluminum cone woofers. It is widely know that having 2 physical woofers in different points in a room help even out the bass response. Each woofer features NHT's famous multi-coat, gloss black hand-rubbed finish.

The subs are powered by the reliable NHT A1 250W monaural amplifier, assuring plenty of output no matter what the room size. The NHT A1 amplifier features a soft-clipping circuit that limits the input level to the amplifier assuring full power with moderate distortion is possible without "gain riding".

Lastly the U2 is controlled by the NHT X1 electronic crossover, a fully featured 3 channel (2 main plus LFE) active electronic crossover that makes installation easy. The X1 features a unique "Boundary" control as well as frequency and level controls that allow you to tune the system to match the unique characteristics of your listening room. Verve Small Satellite Speaker

The Verve Small was primarily designed for surround channels. It can be used as the front left and right speaker also, but we do not recommend its use for the center channel. The Verve Small satellite is a 3-way design like the Verve Large, however it only has a single 4.5” woofer instead of two in a smaller cabinet. While it will not play quite as loud as its larger counterpart, the Verve Small still offers great dispersion adding to the entire system's full sound stage.

The Verve small was designed to mount easily to walls or on a shelf or table. Both wall mount and stands are included with all Verve satellites.

Verve Large Satellite Speaker

The Verve Large satellite is designed for use as front left, center, and right speakers in a surround system. Of course it can used for rear channels as well. The Verve Large is a dual woofer, 3-way design that offers the same level of high performance whether oriented horizontally or vertically. 3-way designs are preferable for home theater as they offer very broad dispersion, so everyone in the seating area hears the correct tonality. Plus they will typically play louder and cleaner than 2-way products.

The Verve large was designed to mount easily to the wall next to your flat panel TV or sit on a TV table stand. Both wall mount and stands are included with all Verve satellites.

NHT Verve 5.1 Channel System

The Verve 5.1 system was designed specifically to match with flat panel TV displays. The system contains: 3 Verve Large satellites for front left, right and center channels, 2 Verve Small satellite speakers for the rear channels and the Verve Subwoofer. Buy 1 or 2 extra Verve Small or Large satellites separately for 6.1 and 7.1 system configurations. Wall mounts and table stands for all satellite speakers are included. Each of the speakers is small, low profile and can be mounted on walls or set on table tops. Any of the Verve Large satellites can be rotated horizontally on its stand or wall for center channel use or low profile mounting.

iC1 In-Ceiling Speaker (pair)

The NHT IC1 is NHT's most affordable in-ceiling loudspeaker, useful for almost any distributed sound application in the home.

The IC1 is a 2-way system, employing a 6.5" polypropylene woofer and a 1" soft-dome tweeter. Both drivers are moisture resistant allowing use in bath and or pool areas. A proprietary diffuser provides a smooth response.

The iW1 is NHT’s basic in-wall design. It uses a 6.5” woofer and a 1” fabric-dome tweeter. The iW1 has similar dispersion to a typical bookshelf design and works best when placed in rooms where the listeners are centrally positioned. Because of its co-axial layout, the IW1 can be mounted in the wall either horizontally or vertically. NHT has designed its IW1, 2 and 3 in-wall speakers using a baffle that is exchangeable for any of the three models. You can easily upgrade or replace each model without ever removing the frame from the wall.

iW2 In-Wall Speaker (pair)

The IW2 is a 3-way in-wall speaker system. 3-way systems provide very wide dispersion, important in a speaker application that is used mostly for broad coverage in a room either for music or movies.

The IW2 uses a 6.5”, polypropylene woofer, with two 1.25” fabric dome midrange drivers and a .75” fabric-dome tweeter mounted on a “flying bridge”. The use of multiple drivers help to improve detail, allow higher output and reduce overall distortion. All drivers are moisture resistant to protect from potential damage from humid environments. NHT has designed its IW1, 2 and 3 in-wall speakers using a baffle that is exchangeable for any of the three models. iW3 In-Wall Speaker (pair)

The IW3 is virtually the same layout as the IW2. In this case though, all driver units feature aluminum cones. The improved driver compliment provides higher output, lower bass and even better detail. Properly installed, the IW3 sounds very similar to NHT’s Classic 3 bookshelf speaker.

The IW3 uses a 6.5” aluminum cone woofer with two 1.25” aluminum dome midrange drivers and a .75” aluminum dome tweeter mounted on a “flying bridge” above the woofer. The benefits are another quarter octave of bass, increased dynamic range and super intelligibility. The iW3 is one of our most popular in-walls for music and movies. NHT has designed its IW1, 2 and 3 in-wall speakers using a baffle that is exchangeable for any of the three models. iW4 In-Wall Speaker (each)

One look at the iW4 and you know something serious is going on. The iW4 is our powerhouse architectural product. In a good installation, if you closed your eyes, you might think you were listening to a pair of Classic 3’s on stands. Outrageous dynamics, terrific bass, high output and yet it loses none of the detail. The IW4 is the perfect in-wall home theater system speaker.

The IW4 uses two, 5.25” polypropylene woofers, a 2” aluminum dome midrange and a .75” aluminum dome tweeter. This Tweeter-Midrange module is used in all 3-way Classic series designs. The midrange has its own internal chamber reducing comb filtering and improving detail. The advantage of a dual-woofer 3-way design is low distortion and wide dispersion, changing the sweet “spot” to a sweet “room” for listening.

The IW4 is easily installed. iW4B brackets are included with every speaker and available separately for pre-construction location. The MDF wood baffle is removable separately if service is required. Sold individually.

IWS In Wall Subwoofer Module

NHT's IWS in-wall subwoofer system offers real bass to 27Hz and fits in a 2" x 4" wall! The secret to this phenominal accomplishment was the development of a special 12" alunimum cone woofer that features the magnet mounted "inside" of the woofer basket rather than hanging on the back of the basket. This unique geometry required we flatten the woofer cone shape and increase the dust cap diameter to stiffen the cone. The result is an in-wall subwoofer that's not an oxymoron.

The iWS subwoofer requires the NHT A1 monaural amplifier and X1 electronic crossover which are both sold separately. A single A1 amplifier can drive 2 IWS subwoofer modules in parallel.

In most installations we recommend installing 2 IWS subwoofer modules. This will assure you of ample bass as well as make the room's bass response much smoother.

OutdoorOne Outdoor Speaker (each)

The NHT OutdoorOne brings high-end NHT sonic performance to outdoor environments. The NHT Outdoor One features a molded enclosure formulated with top secret materials, moisture-resistant drive units, stainless steel hardware and aluminum grilles. The NHT OutdoorOne is easily mounted to walls with its customized mounting bracket (included) or alternately, it may be placed on horizontal surfaces using its rubber base (also included).

The acoustical properties of outdoor environments differ greatly from that of indoor environments, where there are room boundaries to reinforce bass. “Indoor/outdoor” speakers cannot offer optimized performance for both, therefore the NHT OutdoorOne was designed specifically for outdoor use only. Its bass and lower midrange response is voiced to compensate for the lack of room reinforcement, resulting in full-range sound outdoors. The NHT Outdoor One uses specially treated 6.5" woofer and 1" tweeter for moisture resistance and is engineered to withstand temperatures ranging from -20 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

M-00 Powered Mini-monitor

The NHT M-00 is a very powerful and compact 75 watt self-powered monitor for use in professional, home, and project recording studios. The M-00 has also found a home on many desktops in conjunction with computers in PC hi-fi systems.

The M-00 is self amplified and as such, can be used with any device that has line level or headphone outputs such as LCD and plasma flat panel tv's, cable boxes, Apple iPods, Apple Airport Express, computer sound cards, portable disc players, mobile phones, and streaming clients like Sonos and Sling Box devices.

The M-00 is a natural for high-quality and high SPL distributed audio systems in bars, nightclubs, health clubs, spinning rooms, and other public venues several M-00's can be daisy-chained using the XLR and TRS - simple input the signal into on of these connectors and come out of the other to the next M-00. With a reputable professional balanced signal source as many as 10 M-00 can be daisy-chained on a single channel.

The M-00 has no volume control so volume needs to be controlled by the source. NHT makes an optional PVC PC or PVC Pro passive volume controls. These devices allow you to open the source units volume control fully for the best sonic specifications and then attenuate the signal as needed for comfortable listening.

NHT also offer the S-20 subwoofer which can transform M-00 into a full-range system.

The M-00 has internal EQ that extends the bass down to 80Hz and can play very loud - 111dB!

The NHT M-00 can be wall or ceiling mounted using the Omnimount 20.0 mount available in our Accessory Department

Inputs on XLR, TRS (XLR and TRS are internally parallel wired) and RCA phono jacks - no it does not have a RIAA phono EQ built in.

The paper cone 4.5" woofer features a two-layer voice coil allowing sustained high temperature operation.

The NHT Pro M-00 is an acoustic suspension design for low distortion, improved midrange clarity.

The 1" fabric dome tweeter employs a sophisticated "under-hung" motor design utilizing a large magnet structure, thicker top plates, and shorter voice coils, all of which keep the voice coil within the boundaries of the magnetic field. Benefits include improved transients and lower distortion.

The M-00's enclosure is a cast aluminum-zinc alloy. Structurally rigid, minimizing resonance and coloration, the aluminum enclosure also acts as a massive heat sink for the internal 75W (150W peak) Class AB amplifier.

The preamplifier section is designed for low noise, high overload tolerance, and minimizes the possibility of noise from ground loops. The transformer is magnetically shielded as well to allow use in direct proximity to computer monitors.

A1 mono amplifier

The NHT A-1 monaural amplifier is a workhorse amplifier designed for any number of applications. The NHT A1 is a full range amplifier useful for powering subwoofers, bi-amping large speakers or used in a stereo pair in conjunction with a good preamp. The NHT A1 has both balanced and unbalanced I/O and is low-profile, only a single rack space. The NHT A1's hybrid Class AB/G design runs cooler and is more efficient than traditional amps. The NHT A1 amplifier is rack mountable using the optional NHT E-1 19" EIA rack mount kit. The NHT A-1's is a full-range amplifier having a minimum frequency response from 20Hz – 20kHz. The NHT A1 is rated at 250W rms into 6 ohms and can easily run down to 4 ohms with stability. The A1 features a proprietary soft-clipping circuit, particularly important for use with subwoofer systems. Four Floor Standing Tower Speaker

The NHT Four tower loudspeaker is basically a Classic Three bookshelf sitting on top of a subwoofer, each in its own, optimized chamber. NHT has been using this method for towers since the beginning. The Four is very similar in tonality to its predecessors the 3.3 and 2.9. The real technical feat for us was to achieve the same performance in 30% less cabinet than the originals.

The Four is a 4-way configuration, with the same driver compliment as the Classic Three plus the addition of a long-throw, 10” side-loaded woofer. There are two sets of input connections so the Four can be optionally bi-amped for more control over bass response.

The Four is built with 1” dense fiberboard and dressed in 7 coats of high-gloss, piano-black paint. Only 7.5” wide, the Four becomes complimentary to its room environment. Sold in mirror image pairs (L+R).
